Sur “On s’est marré (version feutrée)”

Commentaire fait par Biotic sur BLACK SWEATER, WHITE CAT à propos du morceau « On s’est marré (version feutrée) » de Siegfried G :

I have enjoyed Siegfried Gautier in the past and he has been featured before on these pages, but all of that material was from Jamendo. This wonderful little tune was recorded years ago (November, 1999) and appears at archive.org. I love the smoky mystery that develops as it goes along. Timeless. The name of the release is Deux mille ans de bonheur.

Hailing from France, Gautier has played with Psychonada and Creme Brulee. And, as I discovered in my first CC posting in several months he has material waiting to be discovered-one of the exciting things about this gig is the discovery.

Day 18

Commentaire fait par Grant Robertson sur Indieish à propos du morceau « Jim » de Siegfried G :

Biotic over at Black Sweater White Cat (What a damn cool name, I’m uber jealous) made mention of cc365 and mused that I might include “Jim” by Siegfried Gautier in the feed.
Biotic, you’ve got excellent taste. I so love this song. This is one of the best things about doing cc365, people deliver music to me and hope that I’ll like it. Lately, the suggestions are fantastic. I’m pretty honored to have people with such great taste in music as subscribers.
I don’t know much about Siegfried Gautier but, I really like this song. It vaugely reminds me of Stereolab, and not for the fact that it’s sung in French, but more for the fact that it has this unmistakeable and difficult to capture 60’s sound.
Anyway, biotic has saved us from what I feel was a bit of stagnation. So, thanks to biotic for the shake up. Keep ‘em coming.
